Amber Jamille Davis
My life began in November of 1978 in Colorado Springs, CO. At the tender age of 6 weeks I was relocated to Pittsburgh, PA. I spent my childhood there on an acre of land near a reservoir surrounded by trees and meadows. I enjoyed countless days and nights outdoors with the elements, animals, and insects.
After graduating from high school, I moved to Colorado and stayed for almost a year, and I returned to PA for the love of my life and my best friend, Mark. We traveled the entire country for 3 months together. This was the most incredible time in my life and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to experience so much of this beautiful land. After our travels, we moved to California for a bit then back to Colorado where we welcomed our daughter into the world. Arizona was a stop on the map, and oh then back to Colorado where we welcomed our son. We remained in Southwest Colorado for 6 years. In 2010, we returned to the Pittsburgh area to be closer to family, but yet again we found ourselves back in Colorado by mid 2011...and here we are!
Natural healing was ingrained in me from the very beginning. I knew at a young age that I desired natural childbirth without complications and I was blessed with 2. This was my first step in understanding the strength of intention. After my daughter was born, I began working for her PCP who is a Doctor of Osteopathy. This was a great foundation because I was able see the blend of traditional medicine and preventative medicine. I stayed in his office for 6-7 years and had a very memorable experience. When he closed his practice he recommended his new tenant keep me on staff at the Mind and Body Works Clinic (http://mindandbodyworks.org/). This is an alternative addiction therapy clinic utilizing Amino Acid IV's, Nutritional IV's, IV Chelation, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Healing Touch, Counseling, and Nutrition Class. Yet another aspect of how holistic healing can really have a positive effect on peoples lives.
While working at the clinic, we hired an Acupuncturist. Vanessa Morgan, L. Ac. had just moved to the area and was starting up her business (www.selfhealcenter.com). She is a licensed Acupuncturist, Homeopath, and Massage Therapist with training in Biological Medicine. No sooner did she arrive at our clinic, my son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. I knew that I wasn't seeking conventional treatment and saw that she was getting results with her patients using an EAV machine and wanted to have my son treated by her. She used a blend of homeopathy, herbs, clinical nutrition, and Shamanic Healing.
The result my son had from a Shamanic Healing session was profound. Immediately he was calmer, more responsive, and his aggression had subsided. It seemed as if it cleared the way for the supplements to work better on his body. I was so intrigued about how Shamanism worked, I took a weekend workshop with Vanessa to understand the basics of Shamanic Journeying. After finding the path of direct revelation, my search was complete. I had found a way of connecting with divinity through my Helping Spirits, Nature, & the Creator for clarity, learning, & growth. After having success with Shamanic Journeying, I attended Sandra Ingerman's 2 week practitioner training in Santa Fe, NM. This is where I learned how to apply to others the connection with Spirit that I had developed by facilitating a safe, sacred space for healing to occur within them.
I am grateful to have been exposed to many different techniques of healing including chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, osteopathy, neural therapy, EAV testing, Jin Shin Jyutsu, IV therapy, Shamanism, massage therapy, healing touch, sauna therapy, and conventional medicine along with homeopathy, herbs, & clinical nutrition. I look forward to completing a Master Herbalist program to become a consulting herbalist while I continue my Shamanic Healing practice. This is the path I have chosen to walk and I look forward to helping others becoming re-filled, re-inspired, and re-connected to the divinity and light that resides within us all.
